Basically how I feel.

 

Song also feels pretty similar to "Afterlife" by Alex G, which makes sense.

 

For those that love the music video - you should check out Lance Oppenheim's work - especially Ren Faire on HBO. So good.

People forget that “Garden Song” was the first release from Punisher, not “Kyoto”.

Ren Faire is fantastic

 

This is an insanely overqualified group of musicians for such a gloopy whatever song.

 

My gut reaction to Lost Boys is that it’s fine but honesty I expected something more interesting

Maybe a LITTLE strong but Afterlife is probably my favorite song of the decade and I don’t like this shit very much at all lol

stinky song, working with marshall sucks, going with jack as a producer is so boring. bummer all around.

think this is where i'm at too. don't hate it, but i'm definitely hoping for some variety on the album (not gonna make any judgments until i hear the whole thing).

not sure how i feel about Jack's involvement, but having Marshall contribute to half of the album is gross.

 

Song’s completely fine. People have wanted more Phoebe Bridgers for more than half of the decade at this point and she certainly delivered on that. After so long and so much scrutiny it makes sense to just play a hit now and swing for the fences on the album. Feels like the exact type of thing that folks calling it safe or boring will say grew on them in the ~context of the album~ two months from now

 

Deeply whelmed by this and kind of a head scratcher that a 16 song album doesn't have a better first single. Maybe it'll grow on me.

 

Fuck off with this. Not only does a rapist still play drums on her record, he also gets 7 writing credits? Fuck off. She's had years to reconsider this shit and now she's too big to suffer any consequences she just doubles down? Disgusting.

 

I don't mean to take away from the rapist here but...does that say Bo Burnham
