depends on the neighborhood really. I love the city, I've lived here my whole life. I just spent three weeks in New York over the summer for grad school and it really just doesn't compare. there's no pretentiousness to philadelphia - just a great city. fantastic beer scene and punk scene if you're into that. our public transit isn't the best, but it could be worse (I guess). I'm currently in Roxborough now and I plan on living here for at least a couple more years. anybody else have input? hard to explain about living here without specific questions!

I wanted to go that PUP show, but apparently it is sold out! So bummed. The Dream is Over is probably my favorite album of the year so far.

Long in the Tooth is the closest to you in Center City. There's also Repo Records on South St. Noise Pollution is just off a South Street at 4th Street. If you venture out to Fishtown/NoLibs: Milkcrate Philly Record Exchange Borderline Creep
Anyone been to, or know anything about Making Time is Rad events? Usually at 714: They go super late, probably not going to Boys Noize but just wondering.
I should probably venture out more when I'm in Philly but I go there so seldom I just go to Monk's and Tired Hands and call it a day.
