dave chappelle show july 5-6 at that new venue on Frankford, the Punchline... Joe DeRosa opening it up tonight
If anyone has the hookup on a two or three bedroom place please hit me up bc I need a place ASAP and everything keeps falling through
are you in that Affordable Housing Philadelphia fb group? people seem to find stuff through there when in a bind. it's a closed group but DM me if you are interested in checking it out, i could invite you.
Depends on time of day, but Jim's is the least convenient because it's on South Street. I'd say the bigger factor is where you'll be in the city, because these three are really spread out EDIT: though at the right time of day, parking near South St isn't actually that bad
eh i'll actually be outside of the city in Burlington NJ. I have plenty of time so driving doesn't bother me, I just get really irritated when I have to drive around for awhile looking for a parking space.
John's is the easiest for parking of the three I mentioned, and it's probably closest to where you are, too. It closes early though, so definitely google that beforehand
One summer I worked two blocks from Reading Terminal. It was incredible and also terrible for my health lol
Reading Terminal is so great. It's a bummer that the weekend is the only time I can really go since its always so packed. I bet going on a weekday would be super fun to look around and actually see what all is there.
I was usually there at lunchtime, which was totally nuts, but I've been there in the afternoon a few times and it's definitely nice to walk around more casually My recommendation there is always the Italian hoagie at Salumeria... it doesn't get talked about a whole lot but damn is it good
My Uber today mentioned Dalessandro's as being the best cheesesteak in Philly, so hopefully I'm gonna check that out today. Staying in Fishtown tonight and I've heard good things about MilkCrate and Murph's. What else is good?
Milkcrate has the best breakfast sandwiches, pretty solid record selection as well. Wild Mutation and Philadelphia Record Exchange are also record shops with great selection on Frankford. If you're trying to get some Tacos, Loco Pez and Heffe are where it's at. Good beer bars -- Memphis Taproom, Johnny Brenda's, Cedar Point, Kraftwork El Bar and Happy Tap are cool dive bars in the area. Coffee -- Reanimator and La Colombe Jinxed is a cool thrift/vintage shop right near La Colombe Tattoos -- Art Machine, True Hand, Seven Swords Ice Cream -- Five Sisters, Little Baby's Pizza -- Trio's Trattoria, Pizza Brain Pop's Skatepark a little further into Kensington
We're planning on going to Loco Pez later, thanks. About to hit Steve's since it's so close to us. Lots of Bernie demonstrations out today, too, which has been a sight
Does anyone want a Deftones/Refused ticket for Saturday? My friend bailed and I don't want it to go to waste.
