ugh fine 1. Punch Drunk Love 2. The Master 3. There Will Be Blood 4. Phantom Thread 5. Magnolia 6. Inherent Vice 7. Boogie Nights 8. Hard Eight
Magnolia is beautiful, maybe one of my favorite films ever. Though I admit it's overlong, it's also one of the most creative experiments I've ever seen in film and television.
Even though I disagree with it, I love Kevin Smith’s review of Magnolia. “I’ll never watch it again, but I will keep it. I’ll keep it right on my desk, as a constant reminder that a bloated sense of self-importance is the most unattractive quality in a person or their work.”

Oh god, PTA said he’d like to work with Lubezki. That would be a dream come true. I’d be very interested in seeing how their two styles would mesh.
Have you seen the interview of him that came out around the release of Boogie Nights and he’s eating pizza?
There Will Be Blood The Master Punch-Drunk Love Boogie Nights Magnolia Still need to see Hard Eight, Inherent Vice, and Phantom Thread. I’m doubtful any theater near me will get Phantom so I’ll probably have to wait for the Blu-ray.
I think Phantom Thread is suppose to see a wide release this weekend, unless you live in the middle of nowhere
I live in a smallish city but I actually just checked and we are getting it so now my week is made haha.
I can’t stand the marketing for this film. As much as I personally love the movie to death, I still cringe every time I see a commercial for it. Focus Features is making it look like a dull period piece more than anything else. That’s my opinion.
