I think this will go down as the best master's I've ever seen. I didn't think anything would ever top 2019's Tiger win but I really think this one does. That year it felt inevitable as the day went on and people started missing shots in front of Tiger. But this entire round all the ups and downs and misses. Yep - this one is the best.
I would give you a decent market price just to put some money in a fellow Chorus’ers pocket. Absolutely serious.
interesting that theyre finally testing pace of play issues. brian harman and patrick cantlay in shambles. range finders is hilarious, it will be so weird to see at first.
toying wit the idea of going to the LPGA event in Jersey this weekend if some other plans fall through.
I followed Spieth and Reed all day at the 2016 Ryder Cup. It was sick. Can only get so many chances to see greatness up close.
What a bunch of clowns. Nobody can challenge Scottie. He was TIED for the lead at the start of the back nine and he’s gonna win this by six shots.
Things were looking so good half way thru. When Rahm, Dechambeau, and even Finau trying to make something happen. That would have been amazing and then the collapse started and I had it on mute in the other room and would take a peek here and there. Bummer. But also - hard to be too mad at someone so good like scottie
It’s not that I don’t like Scottie winning. He’s gradually showing more emotion and fire. Both his hat slam and “fuck yeah!” on 18 are prime Tiger stuff, to go along with his ballstriking. I just don’t like guys handing it to him. When I put the previous post up, he was only up by 3, but he wound up winning by 5 with a final hole bogey because everyone pressed and missed, especially Rahm. Rahm had 3 solid looks at red numbers or makeable par putts in three holes and went 0-3 when Scottie was still finding footing. If those go in and now Scottie has to be the one to hit the gas, I’m sure he could. But I would like to see him NEED to do it.
I feel like they’ve really been overhyping how hard a course is going to be in recent years. But Oakmont is a different beast. I think it’ll live up to what we’re hearing this week haha I’m guessing the winner will be -5 at best.
