This made me so sad. This dude went through so much and came out on the other side. I’m hoping it’s not suicide.
It makes everything else seem so trivial. I wish he had been able to overcome it but I know that’s not easy. I can’t imagine what he was going through. I’m just glad so many stories are now coming out about how he reached out to help others who were struggling.
They opened up a brand new course by me and it's absolutely gorgeous. Some of the greens are absolutely sadistic though lmao this was a par 3 green. It was 175 to the flag which was sitting on the top shelf of a massively sloped green with a canyon in the middle. I hit a hybrid to try and run it through the canyon up to the back shelf and it worked perfectly, but then the ball didn't quite make it to the top and rolled back down. Look at how far up hill my birdie putt was. I bogeyed it.
Home - Old Bridge Golf Club Their website is great. You can do a flyover of each hole and see the design. It's about $110 a round which seems like a lot but most NY/NJ courses are around $75-$85 with cart anyway.
Man. You East Coast guys get hosed. You have my sympathy on pricing, even if that seems worth it for some of the template holes. I can play an amazing course in MN that hosted a tour event won by Byron Nelson for less than $40 that’s nearly in the same shape as the private country club near us. But we also live in winter or perpetual rain in the spring and fall for 8-9 months a year.
I think Ludvig or Bryson is gonna take it. For some reason, I think Pinehurst is gonna be like Fury Road in terms of difficulty and burnout and LudÅ is gonna keep hitting 290 yard 7 woods down everyone’s throats. Shoot 65 again and roll. Did not have rooting for The Big Golfer on my 2024 bingo card but here we are.
Pretty stunning choke and an amazing up and down by Bryson for the win, par from where he put his drive was clutch as hell
