My list of who I'd like to see win are: Wolff Morikawa Phil Fleetwood Rory I think DeChambeau definitely has the best chance mainly because of the confidence he'll have from winning the US Open. I understand the hate he gets but I like the guy. I'd prefer someone from the list above to win over him but I think he's gonna be in the mix on sunday for sure. And of course I'll always want Tiger to win a major above anyone else. (or at the very least be in the mix going into Sunday - there's nothing like a Tiger Watch on a Masters Sunday).
So how does this work? Justin Thomas and Brooks only got through 9 today - they play their back nine tomorrow morning then play another round of 18 at like 2oclock? that sounds terrible.
It's a lot of golf but I think it will help if someone can get on a roll. DJ was just saying that it actually helped him some because he got on a roll on the first 9 and then carried it over to the next 18.
Here's to hoping Tiger can get on a roll on the back nine and carry it over to his third round and give us another Sunday when he's in the hunt. Nothing better than a Major Sunday when Tiger's in contention.
Happy for DJ. Selfishly I always want some more action on a Sunday but if he keeps playing the way he did today - it's going to be a fight for 2nd and below but I think DJ will cruise to his first green jacket. Of course I picked Rahm, Wolff, and Bryson in my Masters pool so my weekend has been done ever since DeChambeau lost his ball in the rough. (I really only picked him for the interesting story line and less for the fact that I thought he would win.)
Yesterday I finally got to play Tobacco Road and it was everything I was hoping it’d be haha such a fun and challenging course. I want to play it again so bad!
Man that looks nice. Just looked it up and their packages for 2 or 3 rounds plus hotel accommodations seems very reasonable.
