This album fucking rules. I’ve been amped all year for this, and it does not disappoint.

I wish I could ever remember to not listen to more than one or two singles when they’re all on the first half of an album!

Really enjoy the album but hate releasing half an album before it comes out.

 

Album is solid but not great to me

 

Like it but don’t love it. I like the song the yips just a weird opener. Only song I didn’t like was spirit animal. Definitely wish I didn’t listen to all the pre release songs.

 

God Is The Gray is probably my 2nd favorite after Model Train Town

 

exactly how i feel although i’m not sure how much i actually like the title track which is a bummer to me considering how amped he was about it. just lacking some kind of punch or flare for me.

model train town is far and away my favorite track on this.

 

Stereoscope is an early favorite

 

Man The Yips is such a wonderful opener, feels like it really sets the tone, in a similar way as The 1975 (BFIAFL) and you in everything (Angel in realtime.) do

 

Enjoyed it on the first run but it’s def not gonna live up to USA. Which is fine.

Hated This Bucket of Water, and I do get the criticism that all the songs do have that same “stranger things background music” vibe to them lol

 

Just need him to do a proper headline tour

 

Definitely less immediate than USA but I enjoyed my first listen. Spirit Animal was my least favorite but I liked it more as the song went on. I get the criticisms of it but I liked the title track as the opener. Breathing the Same Air, Model Train Town, Ask Someone Else, and As Two People Drift Apart are my early favorites.

 

Yeah this is a way moodier, somber album from him. Glad he’s taking a swing on this, going to occupy a different space than his other albums

 

yeah model train town is one of his best songs

 

Wouldn't be surprised if we get an announcement later today. He said on a recent podcast that tour news was coming when the album comes out.

 

I mean he has a lot of synth but I think the songs vary a decent bit from each other
