Whooo! I'm hyped on this. Great first song.

 

Only seen this name around, had no idea it was an Evan Weiss project. Loving the new single. Must check out the first album.

 

Excited for this, and hopefully I can make their show at Schuba's. Yet to see Evan outside of IIOI.

 

New song. Getting some serious The Photo Album vibes which I totally love.

 

I really like the cover they did for the AV club, but I feel like they could have released another single instead. I need this album so badly.

 

Anyone listen to it yet? The download has been made available since yesterday for anyone who preordered. I've only listened to the whole thing like twice and I think it will grow on me but so far I feel like it doesn't grab my attention as much as their first album.

 

I didn't get the pre-order and I'm kicking myself. I loved both of the released singles. I think this albums gonna top the first one for me.

 

I actually didn't pre-order it either. I bought the digital version from the Polyvinyl site last Friday and instantly got the downloads. Does that still count as a pre-order?

 

Really excited about this record. Evan says they'll have some screen printed variant of the record at their release show on Friday so I'll be there. One of the underrated perks about living in Chicago is an Evan show is never more than like a month away lol

 

I wish he'd play more Milwaukee shows

 

I guess it doesn't. I went and ordered the vinyl to get the digital copy. Not going to lie: on the first listen I was sort of let down. The singles are definitely appearing to be the stronger tracks at this point. I'll have it on rotation for a while though so no doubt it will grow on me.

 

The last song on this is the best thing they've ever done, and I hope Kate joins the band for the next album.

 

I bet we'll see an album stream at some point today. To anyone who's heard it, did they bring back any horns like on "Please Don't Tell My Father..." ?

Pet Symmetry's 'LTCTLYB' Is The Slickest Joke You'll Hear All Year

 

It's way more varied and, dare I say, interesting than the last release, but I also kinda miss the energy. We'll see how it holds up after a few listens.

Is that Allison Weiss on Lint Roller? It sounds like her but I can't be sure.

Yea, this is my surprise of the day by far. On my third listen, havn't been back to free throw since first listen

 

standards melodies def creep in. but I LOVED standards

 

This has some of the songwriting cues of Standards with the energy of Proper, imo
