This is tonight. I’m looking forward to this just because of how good Matthew Rhys is and the setting for this show
This is the first I'm hearing of this. I can't believe an HBO series could sneak up on me like this, they're usually super aggressive with marketing?
Liked the first episode a lot, but with this cast it would have been very hard for me not to. The score and grimy look added a lot to it, and Matthew Rhys is of course perfectly deadpan and snarky already. Shea Whigham in such a different role seems like it will be fun to watch too. The only major issue was that they did lean on some of the typical tropes for dark adaptations pretty hard. I didn’t grow up watching or reading much Perry Mason so it didn’t bother me, but I could see some people having issues with those changes. Also just a warning, there are some SUPER disturbing images in it.
I just watched it on Go. I’ll be FURIOUS if they don’t get the Max issue figured out before that app goes away. It happens like two weeks before this ends.
They really did, it’s truly incredible. In that case I’m not sure if you can use any workarounds. Go is for customers who subscribe through cable, which is how I got upgraded to Max. Now is the standalone streaming service, but that’s getting rebranded as just HBO and I think the app just redirects to Max now. At least for phones? I’m not sure if you are able to download the Now app for Roku and attempt signing in that way. It’s a mess!!
Yeah, the worst case scenario for me after Go leaves is having to connect my laptop to the TV for a while.
yeah part of me wants to just finally buy an apple tv, but everything else is on roku, so it just seems a waste of money for one app lol.
Didn’t expect the brutality and thought it was very unnecessary but other than that, the show seems like it could be good.
Wasn't immediately pulled in by the premiere, but I enjoyed it enough. Really interested to see what Tatiana Maslany is like in this since it seems a lot different than her work on Orphan Black, which is mostly what I know her from.
Oh yeah for sure! Especially by looking at the sneak peek of what's to come. I just realize it's a show I need to be fully engaged in and not doing other things at the same time
