when i go to the gym im wearing shitty gym shorts and free shirts i get from mets games and people are in like $200 outfits.

to clarify i do believe you shouldnt skimp on your footwear for the gym, but like, the actual clothes people wear cost more than some suits i probably own and I DRESS NICE

 

Oh yeah can skimp on shoes i've learned that the hard way enough times

 

The vending machine is out of strawberry pop tarts

 

i've developed a theory that the people who wear hats to the gym can probably take a break from going to the gym.

and they can read a book. fight me. I'll lose because they're stronger but at least i can read.

 

I love going to a $40 a month gym, expensive gyms are absurd and intimidating

 

The gym in the same building as my work costs like 120+. :/

 

bape is a Japanese streetwear brand that is on the more expensive side of streetwear clothing. Bape stands for a bathing ape. They also work with a lot of mainstream brands like all sports teams/adidas and Nike and other clothing brands.

 

honestly all my shirts are from a variety of different places so I don’t really mind them. I have streetwear stuff like Supreme and GOLF(Tyler The Creator’s brand, I have my nerd stuff like Star Wars, Jurassic Park and video game related. and my carhartt collection which is like 4 or 5 shirts already. I also have a bunch of random shirts I’ve gotten and some $1 I got from a gap warehouse sale.

And there are $200 gyms

 

I think the thing I cheapen on is my pants because I usually get old navy pants for like $15 and that’s where my savings go.

I don’t cheapen on shoes though because I want comfy shoes and I’ve found the more expensive shoes like ultraboosts are where the comforts is at.

 

yeah I didn’t even go into the long history of bape and supreme working with hip hop artists.

 

i'm ready to buy my own workout equipment as soon as I can afford it so I never have to deal with other people at a gym again.

 

Omg that's how much my gym is and it's the most expensive in town so I thought it was a lot. Paying over $100 is wild

 

I use my apartment complex's gym. It's a tiny little one, but has enough for now.

 

Crossfit is like $300 a month lmao.

I can go to a junk yard and throw around tires for free.

 

I’ve been using my apartment complex gym but like it’s hours are horrible so I feel like they want us to just go to a normal gym.

it’s open from like 9 to 6 Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday it’s 10 to 4.

Those hours don’t work with me at all.

Definitely understand not wanting to spend too much for a gym, but for me it's more of a class and everything is pre-set up for you and the days alternate between cardio/strength. I've tried other ~cheaper~ gyms in the past where you cycle between stations on your own and I just get lazy and stop going eventually. If I know i'm paying more than usual I get my ass there so i'm not wasting it lol and i've definitely felt much better about myself since going there
