I know Doug Benson is popular, and I don't mean any disrespect to those of you who do like him (sorry in advance), but he's the type of stoner who makes me feel embarrassed to smoke weed. It's hard to explain, but, he just really rubs me the wrong way.

I watched him a bit cause I had a roommate who liked him. As I've listened more I've realized he actually HURTS podcasts he's on. He simply is not funny, or has run out of material. I legitimately think some people in this very thread are way funnier than he is, and that's sayin' a lot.

You nailed it. Weed is basically his identity and he treats it as something that's greater than what it is. He presents himself sort of as a "representative of weed" and I think he's completely wrong about all of it. I don't want people to think of someone who smokes weed as being like Doug Benson, and as someone who smokes weed, I find that highly offensive.
