Lol the other day I got a notice with a reminder of the late rent policy. We've had new landlords and consequently lots of new notices and reminders lately so I shrugged it off thinking they must've sent the letter to everyone. The letter was generic and not signed. Turns out they claim I haven't turned in my rent even tho I did and my bank account says I did and I can see a pic of the cashed check which they wrote on just like every month. I mean I have proof so I'm confident it'll get worked out but the goody two shoes in me is DYING because I feel like I'm in trouble even tho I did nothing wrong lol

 

I gave my rent check on the first and the grace period ended on the 4th and they still haven't deposited it and I am dying because I have other things i need to pay for but I am waiting for this check to go through.

 

I’d be so impatient to get that fixed I’d hound them constantly.

 

I opened up a separate checking account just for rent and it helps. I just transfer the rent money out of my main account into that one and it's the only account that I have paper checks for.

 

that sounds like a smart idea but I’m also lazy
