    Together We'll Fight the Long Defeat Supporter

    A devastatingly beautiful masterpiece. This album was written to all of us who grew up in harmful evangelical households. Old Wisdom is like a song about my actual childhood, the highly abusive left behind rapture books, pushed on kids like me, making us believe we were either going to be the anti christ or be all alone. It was abuse and it still is. It’s why I’ll never speak to my biological father again. It’s why I do not adhere to any Christianity.

    “but you always had a choice
    Between making a disciple
    Or knowing your little boy”

    if you grew up a Pastor’s Kid, especially in the South, you know the pain those words bring.
