6/6 so far, better than I give it credit for. I definitely know these songs, I just didn't put most of them with a title
Yeah, I liked No Code a lot more than I remember it. Back half falls off a bit. Mankind is a great song, I forgot about it! I'd still call it my "least" favorite so far.
Yield’s my fave and I think the most consistent but it was also my first. The making of doc Single String Theory is real real good
I think time’s been kind to every record, I even love the og Ten mix these days. Something i love about them is they don’t really have a definitive record.
honestly i love all of their stuff to varying degrees up to backspacer and lightning bolt. i have a good feeling the new one will be a bounce back for them.
See, and I jumped in at Backspacer and Lightning Bolt and love those albums more than I ever will No Code, Binaural, or Riot Act
I like Vs. the most front to back, if you can't tell from my username. I do think Vitalogy has some better songs though.
my personal fave is 11-6-2000. really good setlist, hometown show, interesting period in the band's career. 9-3-2011 is the only time i saw them live. lots of guests bc it was a two day festival at alpine valley with the strokes, QOTSA, mudhoney, cornell, and some others playing. insane show, but there hasn't been an official release yet, just audience tapes. 4-8-1994 is the first show when the band/world knew kurt cobain had died, and eddie gives a pretty emotional speech during it. otherwise, it's a fairly standard early era show. 9-20-2006 is probably their best show, imo
1. Black 2. Corduroy 3. Yellow Ledbetter 4. Elderly Woman 5. Rearviewmirror 6. I Got Shit (ID) 7. Man of the Hour 8. Spin the Black Circle 9. Daughter 10. Lukin
it's right outside the top 10. i love the instrumentation but it feels like the only time where the vedder impressions/memes are fair play lol
Not that LB was a bad album, but this album is so much better. Even the slower songs like 'Buckle Up' and 'Comes Then Goes' are amazing.
can’t wait to listen. running through the discog first for fun. did ten last night - basically a perfect record. even deep and porch, which on paper are probably my two “least” favorites, have stuff that is awesome vs. let’s go
i don't have much history with this band other than the popular tracks, have listened only here and there over the years, but this album is REALLY good. might give me the push i need to go on a full dive.
