Finally got started on season 2. Loved the first two episodes so far, zero complaints. Tim Meadows' bird blindness while Eagly fucked up everybody's shit had me dying

 

Season 2 has been a fun ride, latest episode was fantastic and glad to see the reveal.....now the shit has truly hit the fan.

In Gunn we trust.

 

Just finished catching up, that was a fun watch! Adrian meeting himself was hilarious. He continues to be my favorite character in this, he's like a wholesome version of Deadpool lol.

Eagly being the prime eagle with actual powers was fucking wild

 

Adrian and everything revolving around Eagly are easily highlights for me. Them finding Eagly in the kitchen in the alternate world was hilarious lol.

Having read the online discourse revolving around what everyone was predicting this world would be, when Leota suggested taking a walk outside I felt an immediate sense of dread. I can't wait to see the fallout next week! Sucks it came so late in the season, the buildup was nice....I just wish we had more than 2 episodes left.

 

This last episode was probably the funniest since season 1. Love Adrian but Economos is also an MVP for me

 

His line about keeping a pre-op photo of his superior as his wallpaper and then saying he didn't make his fucked up brain got a good laugh out of me

 

Also, lol at the post credit scene of Adrian pulling off Economos's pants in the bathtub and then kissing him on the forehead

 

What an episode. Easily one of the funniest too.

 

I don't know if I said it here, or on Reddit, but how Gunn writes, directs, and and keeps DC afloat is crazy to me.

 

Yeah, I'm sure having Peter Safran helps a ton, but the amount of work he probably does is nuts

 

Really hoping for some David Denman interviews on this past episode and his character.

 

I couldn't stop laughing when Adriana walks through his house in the other dimension and starts laughing to him self saying "my dad isn't gay in this world."

 

some drama re: the peacemaker dance in fortnite, it seems to symbolize a swastika, or double-h's so fortnite disabled the dance emote and reached out to wb to confirm the meaning of the dance after the last episode aired

it's kinda silly that they're in this situation in the first place and i'd like to know who was at fault for ok-ing the dance to begin with, but yeah if it is what it looks like it is then it really shouldn't be in a kids' game

 

Oh I'm 99% sure it's on purpose. In the context of the show, it makes sense. In a children's game, not so much

 

Cut to both of his parents looking absolutely miserable after seeing how upbeat his mom is in the other universe haha

 

Why is anything Peacemaker in a kids game? Virtually nothing to do with this show is kid appropriate

Fuck that was actually really sad. John Cena's best acting for sure

 

we need a moratorium on "dramatic inspiring speech to triumphant music only to get killed immediately killed".

Also the swimming pool was incredibly dumb and lazy, why would anyone try to swim through a pool instead of just running around it

Yeah the pool thing was really dumb. I immediately was like why the fuck would she do that, someone is definitely going to be standing on the other side of the pool - oh yep

This season is a substantial step down, but still enjoying it.

 

Idk the last two eps may have brought this back up to the level of season 1 for me. And it’s crazy to think that this show of all shows has showcased Cena is actually a better actor than people might think.

 

My only complaint with this season is the shorter runtimes on most of the eps which makes some parts feel rushed or under developed. I feel like there is less direct focus on Peacemaker himself because of this. I've enjoyed getting a lot of time with the rest of the gang though. This week was great.

 

Yeah, I really love this season but the fact that it ends next week and it feels like very little actually happened is a bit of a bummer.
