Really liking this album the more I listen.

 

Listened to it in the car today and can confirm that it is a very good car album.

 

I learned today that he cowrote the last track on the Caitlyn Smith album from last year.

 

Ah okay, didn't know that. I've said this several times before but this album rules.

 

Definitely my most listened to album this year, without contest. Hope he eventually gets big enough to tour Europe

That post reminds me that the vinyl of this album was supposed to ship out in February. Wonder what the update is on that.

 

Haven't checked out the singles really, so diving into this pretty completely fresh.

As usual, I randomly popped into a thread out of curiosity and ended up listening and loving what I heard. First album is so good. Gonna check out the new one tonight.

 

State of the Heart is one of the big unheralded gems of the decade so far. New one is great too.

 

Need so much more time with the new one, only been able to listen a couple times. Definitely not as immediate as the first one, feels more like a slow burner and more "grown up" kind of? State of the Heart was very catchy, melody wise.

 

Does anybody else find the choice of sequencing a little strange? Baby baby and My Grandfather's Home are way to slow to be this early on the album in my opinion.

 

I think "Baby Baby" is a cool opener (and a very different mood to start the album than that killer title track from State of the Heart), but I would definitely move "My Grandfather's Home" later in the tracklist.
