Every time someone I know sees this I have to send them Demi’s letterboxd review because it’s really just the cold hard truth
About to see this for the fourth time with a buddy. Saw it once by myself and shown two groups of friends since. This is my favorite movie of the last five or so years. Can't remember the last time I felt like I connected with or understood a movie or felt understood by a movie to this degree.
Loved this. Impressed that this didn't feel like a debut film at all. The tracking shot of her walking back to her apartment and sobbing to herself is crushing.
This was pretty good. You very rarely see American films willing to linger on the characters' faces in relative silence like that.
Gorgeous movie and such an assured debut film where it felt like all of the scenes were deliberately crafted around the thesis Between this and first cow joe magaro is becoming a favorite of mine
