He said "I simply cannot continue making music." and "I'm always making music" within a few hours of each other... "will only release music if it is to benefit the work i am doing to improve the environment in which it is made" ^ which is what he did with Sea Of Love, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not too long before there's a similar project.
He's been clarifying those statements. He's not going on hiatus, just leaving the industry behind and continuing as an artist without being constricted by a machine that has done serious harm to him. I love him. Michael is one of the purest, most genuine people in an industry that aims to destroy people like him. He's inspiring and just a beautiful person all around. I hope he succeeds in his mission to improve mental health for artists. It is desperately needed.
Tracklist on iTunes is slightly different. And it's missing I'm Perfect for some reason. The numbering skips from 5 to 7 so I assume it's supposed to be 6. 1. Moonbeam 2. Somewhere Up There 3. Hey K 4. To the Other Side 5. Tremendous Sea of Love 6. I'm Perfect (probably...) 7. You Have The Right 8. Inner Dialogue 9. Undertow 10. For Sondra (It Means the World to Me)
Listening to this album for the first time today and it is definitely my favorite release of his on first listen. I usually find a few songs off-putting, but this one is just great.
Anyone want to listen to the new one and check if anything is different in the songs other than simply the track order?
