She's gearing up for her first new music since that album, one song out now and another Friday

 

oh wow. with that in mind I'm very very curious how the PP slot at the damn Illinois State Fair turns out this month haha

 

the real ones know about the scrapped song from Kindred with her on it that would've slotted between My Brother Taught Me How to Swim. and Ten Feet Tall (II), called Stop That (only on press copies of Kindred before it had a title)

 

Damn, would love to see her with Passion Pit. But those venues are not near.

 

Stop That is a top 5 Passion Pit song for me easy. To this day it baffles me that song was scrapped, but also that the label randomly sent it with the press release and even Michael had no idea at first how people had even found it.

A fully mastered and ready-to-go advance of an album with an extra song isn't quite as rare as you'd think. e.g. Jimmy Eat World's Futures was sent out as an advance with an extra song called Jen, dropped last-minute due to plagiarism allegations and a publishing dispute.

 

Where was “Jen” supposed to slot in?
