Tessa Thompson is turning into one of those actresses where I'll tune in just to watch her

Also a fan of Rebecca Hall and interested to see what she does with what sounds like a great premise

Tessa Thompson is, indeed, excellent, as is Ruth Negga. And, I like Rebecca Hall a lot as an actress. So, definitely into this.

Rebecca Hall was great in The Night House so I can't wait to see what she can do behind the camera

no duh Ruth Negga, Tessa Thompson, Andre Holland, and Bill Camp are all great in this
I also loved how it incorporated the Harlem Renaissance and the bougie privilege aspect too

The novella is a classic which I unfortunately didn’t love while reading, or really even enjoy it, but I’m very down to see this.

Watched this today and very much enjoyed it. Definitely feels faithful to the book and expands on some thematic elements as well. I also thought the black and white visuals and old-school sound editing added to the whole experience.
