This band is like what I want to get out of Ought.

 

this is more instantly appealing than their previous releases for me. I like it when this band slows things down a bit

 

Really enjoying this. Got tickets to see them in two weeks.

 

I've never listened to this band but I love that artwork

 

It's weird, I still consider Sunbathing Animal the last album they put out. Insanely excited for this album, the last two were too experimental for my tastes.

 

haven't gotten around to this yet but good to hear the positive impressions, especially compared to their other recent work.

 

I still haven't listened to Monastic Living, but I like Content Nausea. It's a little uneven, but there's some good stuff on there. "Pretty Machines" is one of their best songs.

I love this album, it's one of my favorites of 2016. What else should I check out by them?

 

Sunbathing Animal and Light Up Gold in that order. Sunbathing Animal is a good middle ground between Human Performance and Light Up Gold. Content Nausea has some cool stuff and some filler while Monastic Living can be skipped.

 

Berlin Got Blurry maybe song of the year

 

this intrigues me because i love ought but i've strongly disliked most things i've heard from this band (other than stoned and starving)

 

I'm still in love with this album, possibly my favorite this year (so far).

 

I hated "Dust" so much I never listened to this even though I really liked their last few.

Does it get better from there?
