We have peaked as a society, pack it up boys we're goin home
That lead me to this video and channel. Deep fake videos are extremely impressive/scary.
Heh, a YouTube channel called Corridor Crew used machine learning to study Tom Cruise's face and they legit hired a Tom Cruise celebrity impersonator to get as close to the real thing as possible and the results were pretty crazy. Definitely creepy what we're capable of.
There's also a good one with Bill Hader on Conan as Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I just came here to post this. Fuck I laughed until I cried watching that!
“SOMETIMES I WISH YOU WENT DOWN ON THE TITANIC WITH ALL YOUR SORORITY SISTERS.”
Damn it, I got that line mixed up with the Time Capsule episode when she was listing off different town slogans:
"Welcome, German soldiers"
"Welcome, Vietnamese soldiers"
"Welcome, Taliban soldiers"
that’s incredible lol
This is moving exclusively to the peacock streaming service in October 2020.
Along with 30 rock and some others.
It's getting silly how many services there are.
I love how streaming was supposed to solve piracy and now its gonna bring it back with a vengeance
I hate that they chose Peacock as the name
Yeppp. I might cave into Disney+ due to my Marvel obsession, but I absolutely will not be subscribing to Peacock or HBO Max
This is why I still buy shows on physical media
Physical media lives!!!
Well music was the business that really got wrecked by piracy, but the streaming services seemed to have actually helped stop the fall. I really have no idea how much television/film piracy may have actually harmed those industries but this bullshit is literally just “how about we go back to individual tv channels but they’re on the Internet now.” Like imagine if the music industry’s response to piracy was for each label to make their own streaming service lol
The big difference is exclusivity, very rarely do you see exclusive albums, even for a period of time anymore, which makes it nearly impossible for a new streaming service to jump in and compete. All these tv services are based on the idea of exclusivity of their content. I don't see this going well though, it has to combust sooner than later
the only way i’m signing up is if this is the theme song to the service (they have theme songs, right?)
