The ‘woahs’ at the end of We Shine at Night are the same melody as the woahs during the bridge of twenty one pilots’ car radio
My favorite is Arrival, it's almost psychedelic in a way. There's something oddly satisfying about how distorted everything sounds on Parannoul's stuff, to me it's like the audio version of a video game lag after you blow something huge up haha
Great band, great album. Echoing the MovMou comparisons. I don't really hear Sigur Ros at all and I love every one of their records. Maybe y'all just mean it's post-rocky and in a different language lol.
I hear Sigur Rós most in Parade and Sketchbook. The percussion in Sketchbook really reminds me of the upbeat songs from Jónsi’s solo album Go
Yup, I texted a friend earlier to say Sketchbook sounds like something off Go. (But I didn’t mean it as a compliment - it’s the only song on here I’m not high on.)
I was talking to my girlfriend about this album and she thought I said “para noodle.” Now that’s all she calls this artist
