Funny enough I remember on this very site a certain fraction of users were irked when bands “got political” around 2004 during the second Bush election. Hilarious to see this mentality still lives on in certain places.
Absolutely. Honestly, it spoke more to the political apathy and demo of this site since most of us (not all but most) probably grew up in comfortable suburban environments and pre-9/11 we believed the U.S was always the best, in the right and could not be taken down. Post-9/11 there was a real divide that built up and lot of people didn't even want to feel the SLIGHTEST bit challenged or provoked which is what potentially led to a lot of narcissistic, self-involved "emo" music becoming big.
Did anyone get a code? I never got an email that I was waitlisted but I can’t join the waiting room for the platinum presale that’s going on right now.
Wokeamore is so fucking funny. That would work as an amazing shitpost if that wasn't how a shitty part of the world actually thinks
We Are Woken, the controversial ballad off of the critically acclaimed and politically strained Riot!
