Yeah, I've never heard anything about him outside of "being a general weirdo and narcissist", and the only thing I read about more online than music is film/television. Anyway, happy 15th birthday to Riot! If we're lucky, we'll have another kick ass Paramore album to wish a happy 15th birthday in 2037.
Highly, highly recommend Wet Leg to anyone that hasn't listened yet. 6Music played Wet Dream a lot when it first came out and I was instantly hooked. Their album is soo good.
Yeah, she goes quiet on socials and the Paramore account is run by PR - pretty typical for big bands, really. I’m happy she made a stand.
It's what, the 4th or 5th alleged abuser featured on the show at this point? Hardly surprising - plus for some reason the BBC loves bmth.
i don’t really think the bmth abuse stuff registers beyond this board “it’s becoming a pattern” ok, thanks… dudes
I don’t really like seeing her promote BMTH or 30STM but I also people on this site seriously overestimate how well-known the vast majority of abuse allegations in the music world are
I’m wondering if she’s not 100% picking these playlists herself at this point some songs she has tons to say about, but others not a single thing. For example when the 30STM song was in the show she didn’t say a word about it.
I have never met a single person who knows this. I hope people know! But I don’t think you’re correct.
I feel like this conversation happened a couple pages back, but most people really don't know about the Leto allegations. Most people just think he's either a weird guy or an asshole
She absolutely definitely does not. When Wet Leg had 3 songs featured the other week, it proved it. They're a very niche band that BBC Radio are pushing quite a lot. Which is fine. But there's no way she had full say about them on that playlist.
Idk, they were on the first episode and she was talking about how into them she was and they were one of the first bands she thought of for the show.
