Carlos de la Garza seems to be the producer for the new album. He's worked as an engineer on the last two Paramore albums, has some credits on both Hayley albums, and he's produced the last two Cherry Glazerr albums, and the most recent Best Coast album. More credits here. Paramore’s Hayley Williams Gave The Linda Lindas This ‘Powerful’ Piece of Advice
She quit social media didn't she? Was more shocked she had her instagram account back up - which possibly means album news soon?
PinkPantheress (who deserves your attention anyway!) sampled Never Let You Go on this single she released today
Put the Still Into You video on for my son because he loves it, and am just now noticing Haley has the same bangs in this video as Courtney Cox does in Scream 3 lolh
To be fair, the statement was always that they weren’t going to play the song “for a very long time” not never again
She was asked by a friend and fan of the band to perform a song of hers, I see nothing wrong with it. You can still retire the song for the sake of not wanting to express the themes to your own audience, aka Paramore, but still be able to play it if another artist asks you to collaborate. I can see the argument of wanting to keep the initial message of retiring the song universal, to all artistic endeavors, but I don't blame her for not monitoring another artist's audience. It's just some folks havin' fun on stage as far as I see it.
Like I said, that’s still true as PARAMORE did not play it. 4 years isn’t really that long, especially since they haven’t really performed since then. I think it was 4 years ago, right? It’s not really something you moved away from if after not performing for years you come back and play it. But I don’t have any problem with it being performed. I think there are far more problematic songs that are still played by other bands from the scene. it’s not meant to promote those things but it serves as a snapshot of that time. But I also don’t have a problem if the actual band has decided to not play it for whatever reasons they have. They have plenty of great material, so it’s not like their sets will always be one song shorter. I’d go see an After Laughter tour where they play it in full and nothing else and I’d be satisfied. this has nothing to do with PARAMORE but this reminded me that back in May 2005 my Buddy and I got to film The Early November at a festival where they retired Every Night’s Another Story. We were happy that we got to film it and have that final performance of the song. That fall they opened up their set on the Senses Fail/Saves the Day tour they were on. At least this song took years to be sung by Hayley haha
Also at least Billie ommited "whore" when singing that part Love seeing that happen, love both of them so seeing them be friends is so nice
