On one hand, I love the live setting post rock Paramore, but on the other, the band has a knack for infectuous pop and I wouldn't mind some more of that.
Popped All We Know Is Falling on this afternoon. Still my favourite Paramore record. It's obviously not as mature or as 'well written' as the others but every song I'm like, "yep, this is good", "yep this is also good", "and this one too", "oh yeah I forgot about this one" etc.
I have quite the emotional attachment to AWKIF. It's my favorite from the band despite it not being their best. I love how it's sequenced, too. Reminds me of JEW's Futures on how it starts fast and it ends slowl (or at least building up to something big). "Whoa" being the same fast wake up call niche as "Nothingwrong".
It feels like so much longer ago for some reason. That tour was one of the best times I've had at a concert. I went to two dates in a row, both a 2 hour drive from me. The first one was in Atlantic City and my GF had work really early the next morning so she slept in the back seat on the ride home and I listened to podcasts instead of music so I wouldn't wake her. And the the next day we took her little sister to her first concert ever. And then of course because Paramore is definitely in my top 10 live bands.
Rumors are Hayley recorded the parts she sang live for Chvrches "Bury It" to be released. Excited about that. Sounded great on the cruise.
I screamed at work when I read that on facebook--I'm so excited about it, it was one of my fave parts of the cruise
Part II and Last Hope may be my favourite songs from these guys. Took a long time to come around on that album but I did part of my dissertation on this band it made fall in love with the last album.
Was based around feminism (or lack of) within pop-punk. Paramore were one of the few bands I used as an example.
I'd love for Zac to rejoin Paramore. He always seemed really cool in videos, interviews etc. - I always felt like he left the band to support his brother, but probably wasn't 100% behind the decision.
I can hear a fanbase screaming in the distance... Josh on the other hand looks rather different. EDIT: That joke doesn't work as well with the picture being cut off on the quote.
