Singles aside, I'm really loving Idle Worship, Pools, Rose Colored Boy, and oddly enough No Friend. Not really feeling the slower ones tho
Haven't checked out the leak but revisiting some of their other stuff for the first time in forever. I love 'Looking Up'. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE ALMOST HUNG IT UP This was the first time I saw them too. Hard to forget that colorful appearance Hayley has!
I never thought there would be a day where i enjoy new Paramore music more then new Blink, but I'm diggin this record hard. As of now it's in my top 3 albums of the year (alongside the new Menzingers and Mountain Goats)
Was lukewarm on the album first listen, but really really liked it on the second listen. This will grow on me big time I think. I like the diverse influences going on.
Unfortunately, I'm not feeling this one at all (too 80s sounding for my taste) but I'm happy that so many people really do seem to like it. I do still love Told You So and Hard Times though, and Idle Worship is fantastic
Only got to listen to the album once this morning but man I love it. Can't wait to listen to it some more. I really like Rose-Colored Boy, Fake Happy and Grudges.
Anyone have the roughest estimate of prices on this? I know there's different tiers and all but a general idea?
Last time I spent about $1500 on everything. Flights from NYC, hotel the night before, balcony room ($750+$225 taxes), etc.
Thanks! That's doable for me but the real trick is going to be convincing someone to go with me haha Was that per person per room, or do you just pay by room? I suppose it all varies too.
Per person. That was the price with 3 other people in the room, it gets more expensive obviously if there are less people dividing the cost with you.
You should get a digital copy... it's either the albums a few days late or it comes out later, I personally would be able to hear it as soon as possible even if that means preorders end up being a bit late
Something about Grudges sounds like it could have been written by Chris Farren. Maybe just the delivery of the chorus? Idk, my mind just went to him while listening. Album's pretty great, from someone who's not really in to Paramore.
If this album doesn't make them bigger than they already are, the world's fucked. Every publication I've seen bash S/T are loving it.
I already can't count how many times I've heard or seen "I can't get into/don't like/don't care for/hate Paramore but I love this album"
I think s/t is good, even great overall. But it's too long. There is no focus or really anything tying it all together. It's very scattered. The new album is a lot tighter and feels very cohesive to me after a few listens. While I prefer some of the more rocking songs personally, this album appeals to me way more due to just how good it is. After Laughter is just a much much stronger album as a whole.
