It doesn't feel like they wrote it at all (cuz they didn't rlly) And I don't think anyone remembers it @ all
Well I was inspired by this thread, so I just spent the day listening to all 4 albums, and basically my thoughts at this point are just that Paramore is a damn good band.
I don't listen to them much but when i do i always have the same reaction. I think i forget a lot just how much i like them.
I think "We Are Broken" is a beautiful song. It's not remarkable, but it's solid. "Fences," "Be Alone," and "(One of Those) Crazy Girls" are the only post-AWKIF songs that I'm really "meh" about. I also think the one-two-three punch of "Feeling Sorry," "Looking Up," and "Where the Lines Overlap" in BNE sounds too similar even though I like each song individually (especially WtLO). Paramore has never released a perfect album for me, but they're so incredibly solid overall.
The first time I listened to BNE and "Looking Up" came on, I thought I had bought a defective copy of the album which had "Feeling Sorry" twice in its tracklist. I had to replay the intro of "Feeling Sorry" to notice the differences.
Also agree with that, and it's probably the only thing that keeps BNE from being my undisputed favorite, opposed to how it and self titled continuously wrestle for that spot haha
Absolutely this. Just like "Be Alone" and "(One of Those) Crazy Girls" keep the self-titled from being my undisputed favorite. Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that run of songs sound similar. But on a more positive note, "Where the Lines Overlap" is a Top 10 Paramore song for me.
Yep, that's the best one of those three for sure at least. Feeling Sorry is totally fine and definitely fits the record but just doesn't quite hit that same high, and the only thing that saves Looking Up for me is that killer ending haha. So fun.
God BNE just starts out so strong with those first 5 songs. Careful and Turn It Off specifically are sooo good
Self titled is their most diverse release so I'd say that, but if you're mostly a fan of the more classic Paramore pop/rock sound then BNE is the way to go
Took that quiz thing and Playing God and Feeling Sorry tied for first, which is very on brand for me lol.
Okay thank you. I remember i used to be quite a big fan but i just stopped listening for some reason, thank you though bro
