Idk that I'd call it filler, but it's definitely the most transparent attempt to appeal to fans of the "classic" Paramore sound, or at least fans of BNE.
No matter what they end up doing album wise, can we all agree then need to make it a staple to open up with Let the Flames Begin from now on again?
I had never seen that. Went to youtube and for a more poppy song, it actually works. It's nothing on the level of this though
It's crazy how they just keep on adding to this song. Just 12 minutes of absolute greatness. Wonder if they'll ever get to a point where they do a 20 minute live version lol
I'll never forget watching them at Bamboozle '08, it was dark out by the time they went on and they opened with Flames, and as they went into that crazy extended outro it started raining. It was perfect.
I'd pay good money if they just rocked out an extended version of that song for an hour and encored with Emergency.
S/T is too long, but the real problem is that it goes all over the place. Most of the songs themselves are solid but the album is unfocused and doesn't flow well.
Oh wow, never thought that song would ever be an opener. It is really cool though and I love how they come out and do the original before busting into their own song. However....... it pales in comparison to this version I can never think of this song and not think of Shrek.
All this talk made me put on their live dvd at work. Man, the intro to Born for This is awesome, and they need to bring back Fences as a staple and the keyboard intro for Emergency. What an awesome set list.
Damn, all these intros are really good! Not that I'm backing down from Let The Flames Begin being the best, but this one is pretty epic too. It can be said that this band just nails intros no matter what. I wish this was on the album
Took me a while to warm to it, but I love the S/T now. Also Monster is an absolutely 100% class A banger.
New Halfnoise song today + EP dropping on March 24. Keep on the lookout for random shouts of "bonjour!" throughout the song lol. EP was recorded with Hayley and Taylor by the way.
Halfnoise is Zac Farro's solo project he started after he left Paramore in 2010. Or are you asking "what?" because of the ridiculousness of his French-ness here? Lol
