FYI Hayley and Zac have an interview with Spotify coming out soon, maybe we'll get some clarity about the status of the band from it.

 

if they're still indicating they're from the band Paramore, i'm gonna assume the band will still exist in some professional capacity. Taylor's not here since the interview was about AWKIF, an album for which he wasn't an official member

 

This is the best music she has ever made

 

After almost 1 and a half listens ... I had stronger first impressions with almost every Paramore album and both previous solo albums (which I still think are underrated af). Being in probably the wrong order and sounding like 1997 mp3s doesn't help it of course. But definitely some good stuff here and way too early to even think of ranking. Look forward to hearing the full real thing. Good first impression.

Was on vacation when the deluxe of AWKIF was released and missed the news for that. Love these songs.

1. I somehow never knew The Summer Tic EP was even a thing. Love being able to discover songs like this.
2. Have never listened to Failure before. Had to listen after hearing the cover and they are great.

 

I agree that AWKIF is better than Riot, Hayley.

 

Riot is without a doubt my least played Paramore album.

I like them about the same, but have more nostalgia attached to AWKIF. That said I almost never listen to either of them

 

AWKIF was suchhhh a huge album for me. I was on their street team during that album cycle. Tons of posters and stickers and sampler CDs, even before the album was out, I think. One time, I was driving to California and got caught in a crazy rain storm, and I had that CD on, and ended up listening to it on repeat at least 4 times while driving in that storm because I was too scared to change CDs. Anyway... There was no way Riot was going to come close to it. After Laughter came close to that though. That album also means a lot to me.

 

I would put AWKIF and Riot on pretty even ground with each other for me personally, with Emergency and Let The Flames Begin being the best on each respective album

Both have songs I love, and songs I skip every time
