I've become quite the gear head lately, and I think After Laughter might be one of the best albums to listen to on a nice pair of headphones. Absolute insane production job.
Loos like Hayley is recording some vocals. She posted a one second clip of her at a mic on her story.
well if this is it, what an incredible run they had bummed I didn't get to see them live during the last two album cycles, but did see them perform during the Brand New Eyes and Self-Titled eras, some of the best live concerts I ever saw out of any band in my life
I saw paramore only one time. It was right before riot came out but they were headlining. If I remember correctly it was Houston calls, this providence , & wax on radio as support. It was late 06/early 07 @ the HOB in Chicago. I would’ve saw them a second time in 09 when they were opening up for no doubt But by the time we got into the Amphitheater they were already done with their set, But it did sound good from the parking lot haha
Yeah, why are we taking an ambiguous post as gospel that they’re done…? I can’t find anything online and the last I read they were writing an album after their contract expiring.
not sure how reputable Hasitleaked is these days, but they were saying this this on their Discord as of 5 days ago. if the band is hanging it up, it's either a recent development or they're planning this next album to be their last
Lenny broke the whole TBS/Mark/Fred thing so I’m not too hesitant to believe him when he says there’s something going on. He clearly knows people in that world. But i will take it with a grain of salt until there is official word from the band.
i'm not doubting his connections, and maybe there's some accuracy to the claims. but it's a bit jarring to hear they might be done when the contrary has been assumed (and verified by the band) for a good while now. wish we knew more
I don't mean this in a shitty judging way like commentary on like Taylor Swift often sounds, but hasn't Hayley dated bandmates before? I would just personally be surprised if Hayley and Taylor broke up and that was the cause of the band ending at this point. I feel like this band has shown a lot of resilience, even in the same sort of situation. Though this is also a kind of strange discussion because outside of that one guys comment that started it, I don't think the band or Hayley themselves have given any indicator recently that Paramore could be on its way out.
