Surprised nobody seems to have mentioned the album title, just the art. I'm not a fan of the art but I think it's easily their best title.

The artwork for the album is pulled directly from the aesthetic of the video...seems pretty likely

I really don't know how someone listens to Brand New Eyes and thinks they're acting as if everything's fine. Have you heard the first half of that album?

 

Haha I guess that's fair, but by the end of it, they're kind of saying like "But hey everything's ok now!!", which clearly was not the case. (Where the Lines Overlap = "No one is as lucky as us" "I can't believe we almost hung this up"). That's more where I was talking. And to be clear, I don't actually think it is a dishonest album. Just that if any of their albums are, it's that one.

 

I think they're on record as saying that they genuinely thought that to be the case at the time. It was only later with that blog post that they realised that Josh didn't feel the same.

 

Haha fair enough. Then I guess they've never had a dishonest album period.

 

My only complaints are the drums and the rock bottom part. Other than those, the song is interesting. I'll have to listen to it a few more times for sure.

 

I think Josh does some really nuanced stuff with the drumming that I never would have thought of
