I disagree that they’re running on nostalgia and the numbers/charting are obviously good, but I will say I’ve seen far less non-promo posting and discussion about these singles, videos, and the record on my social media as I did around the time After Laughter came out. it’s obviously still very early in the cycle but i felt a bit less fervor from my socials, even if the same awareness.
This obviously the largest flop in music history and will lead to the band making another new album that sounds exactly like what I subjectively enjoy.
Paramore’s new album flopped. Yellowcard is underselling venues that are way too big for them. Nostalgia is fake. Emo is dead. The election was rigged. Global warming isn’t real. OJ didn’t do it.
I find it so rude when I’m with friends and they don’t wanna just listen to the new Paramore album??? It’s been 6 years let me live
After a few listens I definitely really like this and think that the title track, Running Out of Time, You First and Big Man Little Dignity join the upper pantheon of Paramore songs. However, the last half is still kinda losing me a little compared to the first half. When it slows down I find myself spacing out a little more, although Crave is really cool and I like the progression in Thick Skull. This album is definitely not as "immediate" as their last couple which I loved right off the bat but it fits right at home with the rest. I hope these three stay together from now on, they've hit such a groove together, they sound amazing
im only just realizing how catchy the guitar part in Running Out Of Time’s chorus is. especially the initial part right after the bridge
oh wow that’s great! On Friday HitsDailyDouble has estimated #3 with 55k. Never seen them that far off before.
Anyone else who preordered the vinyl from their website find the first few songs feel slightly sped up? Or am I going crazy?
I felt like the first three tracks sounded a bit sped up. But I’m also doing chores so maybe I’m just distracted lol
