Call me crazy, but they’re my favorite band - was able to get pit tickets to both NYC shows, DC, Toronto, Seattle, Portland, and Salt Lake between yesterday and today with my Paramore friend group. Can’t believe we’re gonna pull this off.
ehhhh calling them a 'legacy' band is a stretch i think, they're not a band running on nostalgia fumes
Seeing them tonight! Apparently people have been lining up since 1:30am. It’s been raining since 3 and won’t stop until around 3pm. Have fun with that but I’ll be content wherever I end up lol
Have a friend that wants me to go to the Toronto show with her, but I'm already going to Adjacent. Is Paramore the type of act to switch up their sets night to night? Not sure I want to pay for a 2nd show only to see the same setlist.
Agreed it's not nostalgia fumes. But I do think they're hitting the perfect balance of their newer output feeling very modern and innovative as their older output becomes nostalgic and iconic. And man, there's no other popular band in the 2000's music scene pulling off both as well as them. The ones who have tried to innovate have largely become blander or unrecognizable (thinking FOB and Panic!), and the bands who have stayed great haven't innovated enough beyond their original sound to break past the nostalgia factor (thinking JEW and The Killers, two bands I adore).
Spent $50 more per ticket and am in a closer section than planned but after many attempts I’m in for Orlando!
Plenty of tix available, looks like they can’t instantly sell an arena in most markets which makes sense.
They did do that run of holiday radio shows that was arenas a while ago. Is that what your thinking of because I don’t think they’ve ever done arenas on their own
yeah, they did on the second US tour for self-titled. Paramore Announce "The Self-Titled Tour" Fall 2013 Tour Dates -
