Def team After Laughter and then Brand New Eyes. I could never rly get into Riot outside the big singles
After Laughter Brand New Eyes S/T (this one really grew on me over the years) Riot All We Know Is Falling There are still some absolute JAMS on riot though.
I always wish they dug more into that post-rock sound and I’m shocked more people don’t think so too - I think the best paramore record is lying in there somewhere but is drowned by the rest. Grow Up Daydreaming Ain’t it Fun Part II Last Hope Anklebiters Proof Hate to See Your Heart Break Future add another track or two and that’s the best paramore album to me. As things stand though, BNE is my favorite and s/t is closer to the bottom
Brand New Eyes Self-Titled Riot! AWKIF After Laughter I feel weird putting AL last, but it is what it is. Their discography is easily one of my favorites from top to bottom.
After Laughter Brand New Eyes Paramore Riot! All We Know is Falling After Laughter is near perfect. Possibly perfect. Impeccable execution and flow. Brand New Eyes is the most refined and perfect version of their classic sound and carries one of the best vocal performances on any album I've heard. Self-titled is great but just too long. If you take "(One of Those) Crazy Girls" and "Be Alone" off and move "Interlude: Holiday" between "Last Hope" and "Still into You" I think you've got yourself the best Paramore album. Riot! is classic. I enjoy every single song here. But taken together, it's their most redundant album. AWKiF is just a solid debut. "Conspiracy" is underrated as all get out. Feels like a prototype to "Decode" and I wish more people talked about it.
Some S/T and BNE slander here, shame on you :p Album ranking: 1) AWKIF Riot! BNE S/T AL Summer Tic and Singles Club are pretty cool too. More seriously, if I absolutely had to rank: 1) BNE 2) AL 3) S/T 4) AWKIF 5) Riot! If we’re doing favorite songs from each album: Conspiracy For a pessimist Ignorance Last Hope Rose-Colored Boy But honestly it’s very hard to choose.
I'm gonna have to revoke my statement that the lead singles from Paramore albums tend to be the best songs. I was under the impression that Ain't It Fun and That's What You Get were pre-release singles, and I was very wrong. I'd say the best songs from each album are: -Pressure -That's What You Get -Careful -Ain't It Fun -Told You So
I wonder if the band is gonna play This Is Why at Fallon or debut a new single. Probably the former, but one can dream
