Fair point on Chili Peppers hate but their producer said the new album has influence from the Chili Peppers’ “Freaky Style" some I'm assuming that's why the shout out.

Basically only went to ACL for paramore and boy was it worth every penny spent. They are at the top of their game and seeing them will never not make me way too happy.

almost got kicked out of the pit for "bumping too hard" into a RHCP fan that was camping then barricade. But what a set.

 

cheapest for Chicago is mid $400s

When My Chemical Romance tickets first went on sale, pre pandemic, my dad bought like... 6 tickets for my siblings... Well, he got a bit confused with the livenation user interface and paid $2000 EACH TICKET and I was freaking out, but he was like "well it's to late now I guess"

Anyway, he got his money back when covid cancelled the dates, he got lucky as hell.

So yeah, some people do buy them hahaha

I don't think there's any issues with making a mistake, it's the nonchalance of spending $12,000 and going "whoops, guess I'll know better next time" that is wild to some of us lol, including you from what it seems. Like if my dad somehow did that he'd go through actual hell and back to get that money

And for me I'd probably actually just be dead lol

 

He had the money and an ability to spend it if it had to come to fruition, get off his back ;d nobody said it was a "whoops, guess I'll know better" situation. It is big though, of course, I'd be down if I spent 10 times less.

 

Anyway, Paramore is pretty cool

 

Can’t wait for the album and hopefully for a European tour! That set was really good! Probably the only band who has that special place in my heart.

and re Brick by boring brick, while I feel like it’s one of their best songs overall, I’ve always felt like it was one of their worst live. Don’t get me wrong, it’s usually still very fun (and sounds usually better in person), but it seems to me like Hayley always struggles a little bit with the chorus, maybe because of how fast it is, especially when you’ve been dancing around. Pretty sure she’d probably still nail it in a relaxed/studio setting.

 

ACL video was pretty pretty pretty amazing. The whole band sounds great and Misguided Ghosts was neat. My favorite moment was the crowd singing along to That's What You Get, had me absolutely giggling and grinning.

 

that live set was incredible, their energy is insane! i really want to see them live. i love how hayley does whatever she wants with her voice and it still sounds great, and she is so gorgeous!

 

just watched the ACL set. this band is a behemoth. they get better each set i see them perform, it's insane. i knew hayley was doing the microphone bit for Ignorance since AL but man, does it hit hard now that mwY's gone. it radiates that band's energy so much and put such a grin to my face. also, i absolutely absolutely absolutely adore Hard Times as the closer. I think it was the opener during the AL era right? its so much fun at the end! i never was a fan of Aint It Fun ending the set, meanwhile HT is my second most played song of all time according to Spotify (behind Foxing's Grand Paradise), so it had me smiling from ear to ear as the last bout. ive gotta see these folks live. they were actually THE band that got me into the scene and im beyond happy on how absolutely killer they have become, have always been, and always will be.

 

I like Brick but would happily see it traded for Where The Lines Overlap or Playing God!

Also wondering if they’ll cycle any other stuff from Self-Titled at some point - remembering that they’ll also be bringing in more new album tunes too, could be tough to fit much of the older stuff in eventually…

Playing god might be my favorite song by them.
But yeah once the new album is out it’s gonna be slim pickings from other albums. They gotta play the hits but it would have been so great if they could just rotate songs from all other albums haha

 

i think theyre at the point in their career where they can play any of their songs on stage and the crowd will still be incredibly into it. give me a wacky set with barely any staples

 

Give me an exclusivley post-BNE setlist! Of course it's not gonna happen but Riot doesn't really do much for me anymore and I've heard most of Brand New Eyes live. Haven't seen them since 2009.
