Took some videos as usual. Here is My Rose-Colored Boy. Also on my channel you can find You First, Playing God, Running Out Of Time, Crystal Clear, Misery Business, Still Into You, and This Is Why.
Band was fantastic last night. Notable events were Zac’s snare drum breaking in the first verse of Caught in the Middle and them cutting Liar from the set. There was no B-stage but I assume that’s because the venue is smaller and not equipped for it.
Lol what’s weird about it? I’m sure they’re just mailing them info about AUS/NZ dates or something like that. A PR stunt
Maybe I’m dumb but if a band I love DMs for my address I’m giving it to them on the off chance they’re sending me something cool lol.
hayley showed up at a fan’s house to give them a cd as pr for her solo stuff. this is normal for them.
its extremely weird to just slide in with a 'whats your address' and no other context, idc how secretive and vague youre purposely trying to be lol - with how easy and frequently accounts get hacked and you dont know who is really who, it is extremely weird.
Yea like it's cool and in this scenario is probably perfectly fine but it definitely should be given a bit of caution, I'm hoping that there's context out of the screenshot and they explain what it is and give more credentials. Which might ruin the surprise but better safe than sorry.
I mean a hacker could just as easily add context and make it more convincing so what’s the difference if there’s more information or not?
Well that's why I added putting credentials of some sort, because yea a hacker can just as easily say "hey it's for tour flyers bro don't worry" but yea not sure what exactly. Again in this scenario it's probably perfectly fine but I can definitely understand a little bit of concern with it.
Teenagers from Jennifer's Body, which I guess was Hayley's first solo song, is now up on Spotify. Idk about Apple Music
Yeah this is what I was getting it. I know it's coming from a certified, validated account, but take away the fact it's Paramore - and hey, maybe they've earnt the benefit of the doubt - but if this was just some band who you didn't love, randomly DMing people and asking for their address with no context, I'm sure that would raise a few eyebrows. Especially in an age where personal data is getting mined and leaked with increased regularity. I'm sure their intentions are harmless, but it is weird to me.
I think basically if Paramore asks for your address and you’re uncomfortable giving it then just simply don’t give it.
