Hayley's vocal performance is literally insane (in the best way) but parts of that performance were very intense. Interesting that they've decided to embrace it this much
love that they're going full theatrical. i can't think of a band that's become so dynamic over the course of their career.
I feel like a lot of people are super thrown off by this performance, but to me it's just a live version of the video. Maybe the video adds more context to what they're going for and that's why I didn't think it was that weird?
Like what? Paramore is one of the only bands I can think of that but on a full show like that, compared to others that just play the music. It worked in spades for me, I understand we all have different views though...
I'm not a huge fan of Paramore so I've not been keeping up on the stuff they're doing... ...but this feels a little like St. Vincent and Of Montreal collaborated and threw out the weirdest parts. Song's good. Haley's vocals are - like always - beyond awesome. And the performance isn't soul-less. I dig it!
