I’ve come to realize going to shows is like going to the movies. Seen as a group activity, but no real reason for it. The drives and intermissions can get boring but I get way too absorbed in the show to wanna worry about where someone else is in the crowd or when they get out of work to leave.
Literally my life, and my name is Matt too. My two best friends are both teachers, and they just can't afford to go to as many shows anymore, so that's also becoming a little awkward.
Haha it's the worst (but also I only really trust myself to get them anyway lol). And yea I work full time and live with my parents, so sometimes I just pay for people to go if it's not a show I want to go to alone but I've got to stop doing that lol
Oh, how I wish it were that way for mine! I hate how far I have to walk from the bus to my venue. Looking forward to your review later!
Paramore is taking over livenations Insta and they just posted pictures from a meet and greet tonight and I’m so jealous and wish it was at every show
They pretty much only do them as label/radio station sponsored events now because it’s made them so uncomfortable in the past.
Makes sense. I don’t live in NH so I don’t really know any of the radio stations- I tried googling contests for some but didn’t have much luck.
I’m almost at the venue. Love the irony that it’s the closest one to me (30 minutes) and it’s the one with the earliest curfew. I didn’t get home from House of Blues Orlando until 2AM Sunday night.
Can someone do a live setlist on Twitter? Is that too needy?? My wife is way too stoked for this tour and begging me for a setlist
Crushcrushcrush and Pool are what I was hoping would carry over to Tour5! ♡ Passionfruit is a nice surprise, that I am also so excited for. Please let this be the whole tours set. Tagging you, @RIPapdotnet
My only complaint here is I wish they’d swap TWYG and Playing God for most other jams from their respective albums.
Yeah, I'd love if they swapped Playing God for Careful, personally. Out of everything they played at Riot Fest, that was what I got the most into for whatever reason. That song is just built so well for live shows.
I was really really really hoping they did Crush (assuming they are doing the Parahoy version again - I need to hear it again) I absolutely love that they are doing almost all of After Laughter. It’s been so awesome watching them start this cycle with a more moderate amount of those songs and slowly add more and more of it to the regular set. And I have to assume that they are holding out on Tell Me How intentionally. My guess is like I mentioned before they probably have one more “intimate” type headlining tour planned to close out the cycle. (I do wonder if they will do some kind of opening slot for someone big next year, though I lean towards no.)
