I need some of y’all to really think about reading your age 15 diary on stage to people over a decade later before begging for AWKIF songs constantly.
I’d love to hear Brighter live but am happy with whatever they play. I’m actually stoked for grudges too.
Atleast bring back Pressure or Emergency. Would love to hear to Never Let This Go, or My Heart but I know that won’t happen. Would love to eventually have some deep cuts from Riot again such as When It Rains, Let The Flames Begin, or Born For This but I know that won’t happen either. Lol
I would much rather see covers, new songs, new renditions of old songs, etc at a live show than Pressure for the gazillionth time. This band if too talented to do phoned in performances of songs that they aren’t as into anymore.
All of AF is such a treat and exactly what I wanted, don’t care about the rest of the set really it can be anything
Paramore is one of favorite bands and makes me happy that they are extremely happy and are in love with After Laughter. I love that album and I love how much they play off of it. It’s just I miss seeing deep cuts from Riot and the singles/deep cuts off of AWIF I rather see that then covers but ayee different opinions are all good.
If you really want to see all the older songs, you really need to consider going on Parahoy next time, those setlists are incredible.
I’ll always dream of seeing Franklin live but I completely understand not playing anything from that album
I love covers, I hope to hear at least one cover at every show I go to and I'm not being facetious haha
I’m not a fan of covers tbh. I’d much rather hear the artist’s own songs. Their Passionfruit cover rules though so I’m okay with it.
Yea I get ya I think my comment came off with more shade than I meant. But I get where you’re coming from, there’s definitely bands I feel this way about. I just feel like people bring up the covers a lot with them, and it just confuses me a little.
And overall with covers for me, if you’re playing like 10 songs and 2 are covers, I might have an issue, but if you’re doing a 20+ song set, I think it’s more than fair to throw a couple in.
NH venue is offering an upgrade to tickets for early entry to the pit area, private restrooms, etc... an extra $40. Debating on getting this or a ticket to Alkaline Trio, haha. Would love to be as close as possible for paramore... but also really want to see Alk3, haha.
No AWKIF is whatever to me, pretty easily my least favorite. I wouldn't mind some more stuff from the self-titled though (Last Hope, Grow Up, Part II etc.)
After being a Paramore fan for 12 years I will just be screaming into the void for AWKIF songs for the rest of my life and I am not sorry.
Looking forward to my date next week, though I'm still a little worried they'll cancel it since ticket sales seem to be so unbelievably poor. It legitimately looks like they've sold about 2,000 seats in a 15,000+ seat venue. Gonna be rough. I'm not huge on the setlist, but that's partially because I've fallen out of love with After Laughter recently. I don't really even know why, I really loved it at first. Then I got to listening to the self-titled again and remembered how much I adore that album, even though it's all over the place. Sad they're only playing two songs off of it. No AWKIF doesn't bother me all that much. I love that record, but I'm not one to get angry/upset over bands wanting to move on from their really early work.
That's not a number I'm at all sure of, I'm just going by what the TM map looks like, coupled with my very extensive experience with that venue and how they do their ticketing. I'm talking about the Bangor, ME date next Thursday. The venue has been doing a ton of promotion for the show, more than I've seen for any of their other shows this year. They extended the $20 ticket deal after it ended with Live Nation, then fired up the 3+1 deal shortly after. Living in the area, I also know that local businesses have larger than average amounts of papered tickets to give away. https://www1.ticketmaster.com/param...6126&tm_link=tm_homeA_header_search#efeat4212 They've definitely sold a decent number since I last looked last week, so it's probably a little less embarrassing now. The empty portions of the back sections shouldn't be counted. This venue is known to pull all of those seats when they aren't selling well and turn that into part of the lawn. They usually upgrade anyone who bought tickets there to seats in 5-8 at the door. Those seats were all available one day, and then completely gone the next, so that's almost definitely what's happening. I'm really hoping there's a good walk-up. Paramore have never played in Maine before, and I'd hate for it to be the last time. I thought right from the start, though, that this venue was too big for them, especially with a New Hampshire date the night before.
