Nah that’s it! It’s much groovier than the original version. That one has chugging guitars and this is the AL style of like riffs playing over the rhythm (idk if I used the right technical terms but)
I get where you're coming from with Grudges (even though I like it is an opener), but I don't think anything else about the set is weird at all really
Really hoping eventually they will play Tell Me How that’s my favorite song on After Laughter. Nothing off of All We Know Is Failing is a little disappointing too.
Paramore Setlist at St. Augustine Amphitheatre, St. Augustine I'm assuming they don't play 9 acoustic songs in the middle of their set? The way this setlist was put together is a bit odd.
If you look there's a gap between 26 and Caught In the Middle where I assume they switch back from acoustic to full band.
Always disappointing to see a band with a catalog this deep have multiple covers in their set. Also surprised that they're only playing two songs off the self-titled album. Also, is Paramore closing every night? Would be nice to be able to leave before FTP.
I mean they are playing 22 songs, so I don't think it's that wild for them to throw 2 covers in, especially when one of those covers is a song by a member of one of their bands, who's songs they have been covering this entire album cycle. And their Passionfruit cover is great. I think covers are fun I'm also a little surprised by only 2 from S/T, but it kind of makes sense with how much AL they threw in.
Check on Groupon for tickets if you still want to go to this. I don't know about other dates but the NH date is $25 on there right now.
I wonder if a few of these songs will end up rotating? When they played BBBB on Monumentour, they swapped it every other night for Born For This.
I DEFINITELY could do without the HalfNoise cover. I've never understood why they choose to do that, but it's just one song out of 22, so no big deal.
I like the HalfNoise covers. I really think they just do it because it's fun. It's the spirit of the band right now - just a bunch of friends playing songs they love. Why wouldn't they have Zac jump up there and have some fun with his own song for 3 minutes of their set.
the merch looks cool but idk i'd ever wear it. will prob pick up all the other vinyls i dont have yet. but the passionfruit cover!! yessss
So the show last night was amazing. I wasn't super into Soccer Mommy, but the singer had some great jokes. Foster The People were really good considering I only knew 2 songs by them. The Sacred Hearts Club neon sign was really cool. Paramore was incredible as always. Grudges was a strange opener, but I like that they made an effort to switch up the set enough to make it feel fresh. Seeing Passionfruit up close compared to where I was sitting for Parahoy was a delight. Also I actually love the Halfnoise song in the set because it gives Zac a chance to be the center of attention and Hayley and Taylor obviously love to dance along to it.
Everybody likes what they like, I'm not really into super chill laid back songs which is mostly what Soccer Mommy played. This tour will do wonders for them though.
At my Monumentour dates they did Emergency (I died) and Feeling Sorry in this spot. Then I think they started going back and forth between those two. I wish they would always have a spot for a surprise song ala T-Swift, but Paramore have never been very spontaneous with their set lists :(
I could do without the covers, and I'm not huge on Grudges opening. Rest of the set is good. Misguided Ghosts is a great inclusion, so is Crushcrushcrush
they must hate playing songs of their first album cuz outside of their cruise they havent playend anything off of all we know is falling in a while
