The issues with him are endless, but go back even just a few days to his posts about Wale, really really horrible EDIT: here, a quick google search shows the recap http://www.hotnewhiphop.com/wale-sp...cDonald-after-he-bashes-shine-news.31991.html
Are they? I haven't seen him say anything quite that far. I've just seen him say a few things that made me think he doesn't quite "get it" but I never got the impression that he was an awful human being. There's a chance I just haven't seen the stuff you're talking about. Maybe no one gives a fuck what he thinks. That's fine. I just saw the Pitchfork review was posted in the thread and thought people here were interested in reviews of the album. This is a forum where people read other people's music opinions after all.
I've never been a fan of Paramore. I understand why people enjoy them but they just aren't for me. This album, however, is very enjoyable. Most of the choruses sort of lose me but nearly every verse is so god damned groovy and I love it. I wish Aaron's vocals on No Friend were louder cause they're basically inaudible (and he was initially the reason I was turned on to this album). But yeah, this is cool
Holy shit, this is like endless and everywhere. My god, what a gross, gross man. Just shamelessly and loudly holding very toxic political and social views.
I gotta be honest, I didn't know this stuff either, I just thought people hated him for being obnoxious. I'll have to dig into this later...
And as for being a "good" reviewer ... his "review" of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy should be enough to put a nail in that coffin. Arg. Now I'm just getting annoyed at this twerp being a YouTube "thing" again.
The only place I've ever heard of this "reviewer" is on this site and until today I never knew who he actually was since it always shows up as Ronald McDonald. (Which is an insult to Ronald McDonald.) Also, here is my review of the new Paramore album:
Remember his video praising South Park for attacking, "PC Culture / Soc Jus mob mentality, Narcissistic slacktivism, Safe spaces and coddle culture." He's literally this:
I shouldn't have clicked through, he is quite literally the last person I want to see give "Some thoughts on PWR BTTM"
Got up to "every music writer felt like they needed to cheer that band cause ..." and then realized I should really be posting news and not watching this.
so, After Laughter is now forever tied to my life in a great way. listened to this before and after an interview this morning that turned out to be the best interview i've ever had and within a half hour of that interview received a job offer (definitely accepted). so now, After Laughter permanently has the memory of being rewarded a great job that i wanted and all the awesome feelings that came with that moment and are still carrying on. really probably couldn't be happier with an album to be attached to such a day / emotions.
I'm so late to the song ranking but I like rankings so much that I don't care what people think about me posting a ranking late and here it is in addition to this run-on sentence: 10. Emergency 9. Misguided Ghosts 8. Part II 7. Careful 6. Rose-Colored Boy 5. Misery Business 4. 26 3. Decode 2. Idle Worship/No Friend 1. Brick By Boring Brick
I do love that Vince Staples got involved just so he could see Ronald McDonald get punched through the face.
Needle Drop is the voice of /mu/ which tells you everything you need to know. Iirc he's not as outright bigoted as some channers, but he's close enough to their sense of humor, taste, and ideology that I'm like. Nah I don't really like Paramore but I'll defend to the death your right to like them more than Ronald McDonald does or not does not idk this a shit post cause I didn't read his tweets or listen to this album
ummm, i like (random order sorry) crushcrushcrush idle worship told you so emergency let the flames begin part ii for a pessimist i'm pretty optimistic careful (the lyrics and music...man...i just can't with that song, it's soooooo good) stop this song (lovesick melody) (i think this song is really under rated lol idk): so angsty and so catchy at the same time. esp those last 10 seconds. really great bass guitar. can't think of a 10th rn sry. probably pool.
