logically i couldn't find the singles EP on streaming so I bought it digitally from their web store for 3 bucks
Yeah they were recorded before BNE but after touring for Riot! was mostly done but offers a nice transition between the two leaning into the more JEW influenced BNE stuff
The B Sides (this was a fan made comp of b-sides, demos and covers) List of songs recorded by Paramore - Wikipedia does this help? sorry if that's vague lol. can't find anything else atm.
Liked the first half, but after three listens this hasn't done for me what Ain't It Fun, Joy's guest on HTSYHB, or Aaron's live drumming on Part II did. Told You So is a fucking jam though. Will definitely be on my soundtrack this summer.
I have no real connection to MWY. I saw them once and have listened to some stuff, but never took the time to really dive in. That said, I love No Friend. I also love the verses of Idle Worship. Hayley's voice towards the end of phrases gets intense and it's amazing. I don't really like the chorus, though. The verses are so dark and a little weird, and then the chorus is very normal and way less exciting for me.
I still love the chorus in Idle Worship but yea the verses are what perked my ears up about the song in the first place
The chorus in Pool sounds like something off of a Disney popstar song collection. Idk. I mean I do like the song, but the chorus is very average.
I think the chorus of Grudges might actually be the catchiest part of the album for me. I also like the "da da da da da da" in Fake Happy.
It's hard to tell because some of the b-sides listed as Paramore are actually demos that Hayley wrote in like 2004- I think the most notable of those are "swim in silence" and "throwing punches." The pre-AWKIF b-sides are super interesting imo because they all sound like they belong on the Charmed soundtrack and also showcase the influences a lot of people tried to call fake back in the day. (Like Failure and Sunny Day Real Estate)
