Three times all the way through, a couple songs more than others. I pretty much loved it first listen, but I knew it'd be a grower too. You only listen once so far?
I've never been (always wanted to) but I'm definitely going this time. Signed up for presale and I'm ready! Chorus meetup?
I'm more annoyed at people who don't like no friend. I love it lol. the lyrics are great and I wish the vocals weren't so quiet
I signed up too! I have my fingers crossed because I know you're not guaranteed a spot just because you signed up for pre-sale. We absolutely need a Chorus meetup.
Just once, yeah. I'm scared to go back. I think I'm in too negative/sad/tired of a mood right now to return to it.
I don't know how anyone could resist dancing to "Hard Times". That chorus just gets into your bones and makes you move like it's Weekend at Bernie's.
I think casual P-more fans would write it off as just a moody interlude with somebody talking about something in the background, and maybe even just skip it. If Aaron's vocals were more prominent I don't think it would work on this album, and might as well just be a MWY song on a Paramore album. It would be found too weird by most. I want to here the version where his vocals are right up front. Because you know that mix exists somewhere when they were producing the album.
This thing is full of hooks, might have their best hooks. I think I've mentioned that I don't think this album is great front to back, same with their others (and don't mean to hammer that point home or anything)... but I'm starting to think this might be their best release on the strength of its highlights which are insanely good
As much as I love the Aaron Weiss guest spot, I don't feel the song really fits on the album that well.
On my first listen a couple days ago Pool was the only track that didn't stand out for me... but mine that's such an album highlight now. Pool, Idle Worship, and Told You So are my favorites I think. 26 too, but that's gonna be such a mood song
If you sort of like a release it must be a top 10 for the year hahah I feel like you are so tough to please. Not a bad thing just an observation
Am I the only one who adores that voice crack in the second verse of "Pools" on the word "ocean"? It's a ton of subtle things like that in the vocals and instrumentation that just push this album over the edge for me. 10/10.
That still doesn't make sense. There's literally no reason I can think of to have his vocals that low while still keeping it on the album. "Well fans might not like this guy just talking for a track...let's ALMOST remove him but still keep it"
