The melody in Idle Worship's verses remind me of another song, and it's bothering me that I can't pinpoint it haha.
Fake Happy is incredible. I think I'll like this more than S/T. Brand New Eyes I think will still hold as my favorite entire album. Favorite songs come from all the albums. So consistently incredible. I want them to play Cleveland or Columbus so bad. I will travel by myself to see this upcoming tour.
Who in their right mind would even have that opinion! It's like the best part about that (all around great) song
I made the mistake of listening to this last night for the first time when I was super tired, and I turned it off by track six. Giving it another spin now and I'm loving it as much as I knew I would. Band simply doesn't disappoint.
Oh wow, I didn't realize it was that recent. For some reason I thought they'd been married for years. Yeah, that makes a lot more sense since theyve apparently been writing these songs for a few years. I probably just assume most of her songs are about love because most of mine are haha
Don't want to speculate too hard, but there was a period where they broke up for a bit around Parahoy, it sounds like Pool could be about that time.
Just listened to this for the first time! It's perfect. I'm really emotional about this album, but Paramore have done my favourite thing in music: upbeat pop music with dark/sad lyrics. Paramore have meant a lot to me for a long time but I can already tell After Laughter will be very special to me. I just relate to most of these songs and it's what I need to help myself. They're my favourite band and they've done it again.
This album is fantastic after my first listen. Can't wait to spend more time with this. Wasn't too into Hard Times, but god damn Rose-Colored Boy sucked me in and I was sold before Fake Happy was even over
Wrote about my experience growing up with Paramore for After Laughter day: “Some Of Us Have To Grow Up Sometimes”: Growing Up With Paramore
I'm assuming the pages i missed out on post leak are expressing the joy I am experiencing listening to this now
Idle worship is the one that's hitting the hardest right now, lyrically. The "im not here to save you" line feels so relatable. Grudges is so fun! I've been skimming the thread and that's the one about Zac right? I don't know why but feel like when I listen to that song I imagine a music video for that song is the band like just playing around, hide and seek, giggling while they're trying to find each other. (Which will be a sequel to aint it fun then!) Yeah it's so oddly specific but, yeah. Haha.
