Tempted to hit up the Target down the street from my school when I get out of my 3:00 final. See if anyone in Electronics wants to be a homie today
I was willing to buy it today if I got it early haha.. that being said, I think we don't mind this leaking because we all know its going to sell crazy well anyway and most of us will BUY it anyway
You obviously didn't spend much time in the AP Brand New thread circa August 2009. It was the stuff of legends.
i cant remember the last time i fooled with a leak. i cant keep up with stuff when it comes out, much less the stuff that hasnt come out yet. spotify and laziness killed the downloader in me.
Tomorrow night at Exit In as far as I know. That's what they initially announced and the Exit In website had Wednesday night blank on their website back when I checked.
Ahhh gotcha, thanks. I live in NY so it's not reasonable to even bother getting tickets. I was hoping they'd go on sale before yesterday so I'd have had time to make it to Nashville but alas...
Bummer. Will let you know if my wife (first time typing that) and I are able to snag them. That would make our honeymoon that much more awesome.
Yesterday I had Brick By Boring Brick stuck in my head for 4 hours. Today it's That's What You Get. This band is so good.
Y'all act like we haven't had dead silence from them for 2 years straight. Personally, this is my favorite band. My favorite band that I was convinced, again, was going to break up. Of course I want to hear the album. It's the most important thing in music to me right now and it's been on my mind for years, not just the three weeks since it was announced.
Personally for me, I've had incredible weather the past couple days and I want to drive around with my windows down blasting this. Starting Friday I'm getting a week of 50 degree weather and rain.
I would never hope for something to leak. I don't even listen to leaks, I wait until I can get them legally from streaming services or whatever. What I want is for it to be released early. But I'm also generally of the opinion that music should be released when it's done, not held off for months to build hype as if a band's fans need a wait period to be hyped, because I'm impatient and selfish. In that sense, I definitely appreciate that Paramore went with such a short hype cycle, but I still really, really want to hear it now so I'm going to be a whiny baby child about it until I get to hear it.
Now, Now is one of my favorites and they've been silent much longer than Paramore, and is now showing signs of activity -- I get the feeling. Definitely not trying to criticize anyone for wanting to hear this ASAP. I even stopped in my local record store last night just to check for an accidental release. Just thought the correlation between the rollout cycle length and people clamoring for a leak was funny, that's all!!
Just listened to it for the first time in years; it absolutely shreds. Starting a full BNE listen now. 'Careful' also shreds.
I'm not far from a Best Buy so I might go and play the game where I ask someone, "Do you have the new *such and such* record?" as if I don't know that it hasn't released yet. And then hopefully they'll have it and they won't realize it's not released yet. This is always a long shot but it's fun to try.
