Why does this have to be May 10th :O I would totally do it if I didn't have to work already.... But good for you, being financially irresponsible for Paramore is worth :D
Extremely hot take based on these two songs: This album will be very good. Also, unrelated, but anyone else think All We Know Is Falling has aged, like, way better than pretty much every other similar debut album that came out back then (Take This To Your Grave, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, etc. Basically all those Fueled By Ramen/Victory Records-type bands that dominated the scene from 2003-2009 or so)? I've been thinking a lot about bands that came up during the early-to-mid '00s, and how a lot of them are putting out new albums this year, and honestly I can't think of a single one that's aged better.
I mean, AWKIF might be my favorite album of all time simply because of how massive it was for me back then and how important it still remains to me to this day.... But I completely agree.
Now I'm thinking about it, and I am not working Tuesday or Thursday next week. It is entirely possible that I can get out of my Wednesday shift, drive down Tuesday, and come back Thursday. I will sleep in my car idc. It's 14 hrs from NY to TN but idc...
Opener is Hard Times, which has already been released! Edit: unless you meant that you intentionally haven't listened to it! I get bummed when artists release the opener to an album as the debut track so I'd def understand that haha
Fun to read the thread and see these reactions! I'm holding out on listening to this until I'm ready to hit play on the full album, can't believe it's only a week away!
Don't you dare.... A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is an incredible album from start to finish. I honestly still need to listen to AWKIF more though.
Fever is a much better record than AWKIF imo but far as aged, yeah Fever sounds more like a product of its time. Can see AWKIF still being released today by a bunch of teens in a new pop punk band
definitely was thinking of a group it sounded similar to - that is right. speaking of which, i'd definitely encourage people on here to listen to the album Holy Fire by Foals cause it's really great.
I like both of these songs, but I am hoping there are more dynamic choruses somewhere on the album, too.
i just walked 15-20 minutes home from work and just had both of these songs on repeat the whole way home. needless to say, i still feel like i need to keep listening to them.
yeah i was thinking in similarity to the sound Paramore is going for, but yeah i've loved them since high school lol. listened to their whole discog. i even saw them live after Holy Fire was released. was a great show.
I like all of Paramore's albums but After Laughter is shaping up to be the one where I go "no thanks".
It could go either way for me based on these songs. I'm sure I'll like it a lot but it could be their best or my least favourite since AWK. Who knows.
What do you think are the chances there won't be an online sale? I'm starting to think the info they're teasing may be a location and time to get tickets.
