It's like a really mixed feeling because it's not like every band plays all of their songs anyway and people grow up and also get bored of playing the same thing over and over again, but it's also weird knowing they won't be playing one of their biggest hits again.
Yeah I'd dig a version with changed lyrics but I'm not that into the song now anyway. I'd rather they played some different old songs and mixed some deep cuts in.
If I'm being honest that's the only song from their first two albums I'd ever want to hear again haha
I'm completely fine with them not playing it again. Would love to see something different from the album in it's spot.
All We Know, Pressure, Emergency, My Heart are okay from the debut. Riot! has tons of bangers. For A Pessimist, That's what You Get, Hallelujah, When It Rains and Born For This come to mind.
I haven't seen them live since 2014 so I don't know what their setlists are currently but I'm presuming incredibly AL heavy?
Just checked and the fact they never play Last Hope or Part II is gutting. My favourite Paramore songs.
Yeah, I'd be fine without those songs. *Shrugs* I don't find much special about the first two albums, but that's just personal taste.
I mean, I get it. Maybe she doesn't want a bunch of people yelling "wh**e" with glee and she doesn't want to have to put it in context every night. They've got a catalog of great songs at this point, I personally don't need them to play that one. Their choice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The fact that she made a big deal of announcing that she was retiring it in her hometown shows that Hayley cares about her fans, most bands just stop playing songs or don't necessarily play them every night
True. Imagine the outrage on whatever their next tour was if they didnt play it haha. I was listening to someone talk about Pearl Jam's Eddie Vetter, and apparently, he keeps a note of all their setlists for each city they play in and makes sure to change it up and play as much of a different set as they can when they visit that city next. I would love for some of my favourite bands to mix their sets up like that.
Wikipedia says it's Zac and Joseph Mullen (touring drummer). The videos of them playing "Misery Business" for the last time have two drummers playing next to each other.
He's playing various percussion instruments, but not an actual drum kit. I think he pops on Zac's kit for a cover they do.
I just looked this up to confirm because this seemed outlandish to me and yes... confirmed. I guess that line has caused some turmoil for her, which I personally find unbelievable, but it's the world we live in
